Watercolors at Round Lake Vineyards-Koi Fish

Course Overview:

Take a deep breath and relax while painting this intertwining watercolor Koi Fish piece. Follow along with watercolor artist, Caroline Porter, and learn various shading and detailing techniques. You'll also work with wet on wet and wet on dry techniques while completing this 8x10 artwork.

This class is great for beginners through intermediate. Due to time restraints, the outline of each koi fish will be lightly drawn in. Class will start with penciling in very minimal details. The majority of class time needs to be reserved for the painting portion.

New to watercolor or just feeling nervous? No Worries, I've got you! In all my classes we practice each technique on scrap paper so you'll feel confident when painting your final piece.

Materials:

Paper: Strathmore 300 Series Cold Press 140 lb. 

Brushes: Round size 4, 6, 8 and/or 10

Watercolor Paints: Winsor & Newton Cotman Series

*Instructor will provide all necessary materials for this class, however, if you would like to use your own materials (i.e. paints or brushes), students are more than welcome to bring their own.

About the Venue: Please DO NOT bring outside food and/or beverage. The winery will have their full food/drink menu available for purchase. We will have waitstaff taking orders before and during the workshop for those interested. Please enter through the main doors and look for signs as to where class will be held.
