Round Lake Vineyards & Winery‘s Chef Brendan Waltz Works With Local Students at Farm to Table

Worthington, MN — Approximately 115 community members from southwest Minnesota celebrated the local impact of agriculture students while enjoying the finest offerings from local farms, restaurants, and a winery at the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee’s annual Farm to Table Dinner on Tuesday, July 23.

The dinner raised funds that will go toward ag scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded to area seniors pursuing an education in an ag-related field of study by the Agribusiness Committee.

Round Lake Vineyards & Winery’s Executive Chef Brendan Waltz, was a special guest as the winery provided apple crisp dessert as well as prepared the first course, comprised of fresh local farmer’s market ingredients. Chef Waltz worked closely with the local high schoolers to prepare portions of the meal during the event. The winery also expertly selected a few of their award-winning wines served with the meal.

Local farms, restaurants, and other associations were very generous, and this once-a-year fundraising dinner couldn’t happen without the contributions of the following entities:
